Build The Kingdom

There are so many things in my life that I'm confused about, things I don't understand, and things I want to happen immediately instead of waiting for the right time. I was talking with God the other day and he told me to build his kingdom. So I thought of all the ways that I build his kingdom. I thought about ways that I can build his kingdom. The Lord let me know that there will be different new adventures that I will be able to embark so that I can build his kingdom in new ways. New ways that I thought I could ever imagine. Just build the kingdom and your questions & wants will be answered.

To The Non-Believer

In every believer's life there has been moments of doubt. You question if God really exists, If God is alive then how could these things be happening to me, happening to the world? I have been in situations that made me question God too. I have been in a situation where I needed somewhere to stay and a married couple in the church offered me a place across the street from them. When I would not sleep with the husband he sold the house and was going to put me and my kids in the street. I questioned God because how could he put us in the position to be homeless over sex. If this man goes to church and is married why does he keep trying to sleep with me and his wife is just across the street? And while all this was going on I had lost the best I had in my life and he was even offering money to sleep with him. I refused to go to church, I did not like men at that time and I didn't understand. The main lesson that I learned was that the lady across the street just prayed for a husband. She did not specify to God what qualities she wanted, and was not specific at all. She was very general in her prayers. Since, then I have learned to be very specific with God when I talk to him and pray for things. I would not want a husband like that. Maybe, the reason you are a non-believer is because you haven't gotten real with God. You haven't shared your wants or your desires. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Psalm 37:4 KJV. It might not be when you expect it but it will be at the right time. Whatever your desire my be. Business, money, kids, marriage, or anything that would delight him. Maybe, the reason you don't believe is because you have never given him a chance. There are many people that love God, grow with him everyday, and pursue him relentlessly but at one point in their life they questioned God too. God showed them and me the glory in which only he can do. Things in my life have happened and they seemed good when it happened but it was only leading up to something Great. God has a plan and his plan involves you. You just need to let go and let God. I have a picture of a bumper stick that I saw one day at church and it says "Give God A Chance, The Devil Will Always Take You Back". So, true. One more thing I always thought that If someone wasn't educated in the Lord or did not know about him that they would go to heaven. I found out that they will go to Hell. That is why it is our job to save as many as we can. To the non-believer I don't want you to go to Hell. I want you live an eternal life in Heaven with me and all the other people they you love and all the people that you will get to know in the future.

What to do with the 90%?........

When you go to church you are taught that you are suppose to tithe 10% of all monies that are brought into your household, (this is suppose to be your gross pay not your net), and then to give offering as well on top of that. No one has ever explained or discussed the other 90% to 80%. What should we do with it? Besides pay bills? Get necessities only? Save all our extra monies? Invest in the kingdom and you will prosper. God's work is our top priority and investing financially in his kingdom is the best investment that you can make. If you give your tithes and your offering like you are suppose to in the name of The Lord then you will be blessed. If the person that you are giving it to does not spend the money wisely, and invest in other things then God's kingdom you will not be punished. You will still be blessed and the person that is not doing right will be punished. Our possessions in this world are only temporary. We can not take them with us when we leave this earth. I'm writing about this subject because now that I have started a right walk with him, I know need to get my finances in order for him as well. Having a right relationship with God is alot of work, dedication, devotion, and commitment. You will be tried, it will be hard, and is always new and refreshing when you are ready to take that step. Every relationship is like this. If there is a relationship here on earth that is worth all this work then you should be able to put that same dedication into you and God's relationship. Sometimes earthly relationships do take alot of time but if you are always working on your relationship with God then all your relationships will be better, last longer, and become greater. God places people in your life for a reason so put him first in all you do and everything falls into place.

A shift.....

I finished an economic fast last week and every since that my finances have just gotten worst. I would tell you but it's little over whelming if I think about it too much. But, when it comes to God you have to be tested in order to win. The economic fast was to break free all holds on finances. To tell you one thing that got taken away from me was my food stamps. I am single mom, I get no child support, I pay everything by myself. So, when welfare told me that I made too much I was really sad at first but, God promises that he will provide all basic needs which are clothes, food and shelter. I do truly have complete faith in him so I know that everything will be okay. He has also been telling me to invest but, you can't invest money if you are on welfare. The government looks at everything. So, now I have no holds on what I can do with God's money in my life. I have been reading this book called Your Money Counts by Howard Payton and it talks about truly understanding and leaving all your possessions to God. I have to say that when you are in church you are told that everything belongs to God. But, to truly understand that everything is God's is the next level. I had a talk with God and left everything to him, he already knows this but to confess that you know this is building a stronger relationship with him. One thing that I'm going to start to do is everytime I get money I will ask God what he wants me to do with it. I do pay tithes and have started to pay offering but I would still go and buy whatever I wanted. So, I'm still not truly being obedient to him. I'm doing what I need to get by. This is not good. I am more than a conqueror not just someone that gets by. I love God and am always trying to make our relationship better. If a relationship with a person is important enough to always try to make it better then, it should be definitely worth the time and effort with God. How can you strengthen your relationship with God? Have you left all your possessions to him? Have you thought about this before? Just remember that with out him you would have nothing. He blesses us everyday with life and basic needs. Why don't we bless him by just loving him and accepting everything he truly is in our lives?

Obedience.......

Why, is it so hard to be obedient? Why, is it easier to listen to the flesh than to listen to God? God, actually wanted me to post this a few days ago but, I was not obedient about it. I found everything else to do and eventually time had past but, I was obedient to my flesh and ate when I wanted to, slept when I wanted to, drank when I wanted to but, did not write when God wanted me too. When I look at the date of my last post it was on the 4th. That was a week ago. I'm so disappointed in myself for not doing what God had told me to. It is so hard at times to be completely obedient. What if we were completely obedient to God all the time? How would your life be different? How would it be the same? What if each of us truly and honestly had constant communication with God like we are suppose to? I have started to find God's guidance in all situations and have even starting talking to him before and after conversations with other people and my relationships have gotten better. When you leave your relationships to God they are truly much better. He does tell you when to talk, what not to say, how not to act and he will guide you through the situation, just ask him.

Exodus 23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

Jeremiah 7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Jesus is Love.....

I have my cell phone set so that when I get text messages or calls it tells me who is calling or reads my text for me. I just like it when my phone talks to me. I am weird like that. So, the other day I had just finished talking to my friend and I hung up set the phone down and it said to me "Jesus is Love." It was so weird when it happened because I have a scripture on my main screen which is Phillippians 4:13 but, no where does it say anything about Jesus. All I could do at that time was think about how much Jesus loves me and that he really is love. I had to thank him for the little things in my life, like my electricity, water, gas in my car, my car, I just starting thinking about all the things in my life that I might not have without him. Then I started to think about my sisters and how we aren't talking right now. It makes me sad. I do apologize for anything I did to create a void in the relationship. I did not mean harm, I was just giving a Living Testimony on things that I have over coming and are over coming, I was just thinking that if I told my story that the people I know, go to church with, will get to know, that they will be in heaven. I love my family very much and if Jesus is Love.....why are we not talking? Are there any people in your past that maybe you still want to talk to? Are there people in your past or your future that make you want to be a better a person and you just weren't ready for the change so you scared them off? If there are people in your life that you can mend bridges with. I say mend them. It is our job as people of God to be peacemakers.

1,000,000 Bill.....

On my way into the library this morning I found a 1,000,000.00 bill. On the back it said "Here's the Million Dollar Question; are you good enough to go to heaven? Let's see if you are. Have you ever told a lie? White lies, fibs, and exaggerations are all considered lies to God. If you have told a lie, then you would be called a liar. Have you ever stolen anything(regardless of the value)? If you have, then you would be a thief. Have you ever murdered anybody? The Bible says "Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer" (1 John 3:15). Have you ever hated anybody? If so, then God sees you are a murderer. On the Day of Judgement, will you you be innocent of guilty? If you are reasonable, you will see that you will be guilty, and therefore deserve Hell. But, there is good news! That is not God's Will! Picture yourself in a courtroom, guilty of many serious crimes. The fine is $5,000,000 or life in prison. You don't have any money with which to pay your fine. The guards then begin to lead you off to jail...All of a sudden, someone yo have never met steps in and pays your fine for you. You are now free to go. How would that make you feel? You see, that is exactly what Jesus Christ did 2,000 years ago. He paid the penalty for all our sins by dying on the cross. He then defeated death by rising from the dead three days later. The Bible expresses it like this: "God commends his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ dided for us" (Romans 5:8). "For Gos so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). God promises eternal life to those who confess and forsake their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone to save them. So the question is what will you do? After reading this I am so glad that my sins have been forgiven. I am so glad that Our God is so wonderful that he is working on creating me into the person that he needs to fulfill his mission here on earth. Thank you Lord for everything you have done in my life and the lives of the people that will read this blog today. My prayer is that this will change someone's life. Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want.
